The Island of the English

La Isla de los Ingleses is a documentary produced by Cinnamon Producciones centered on the history of the British settlement established in the province of Seville for the agricultural development of the Guadalquivir marshes.

The project combines real footage with animated sequences developed from watercolor illustrations. This technique, closely linked to the English artistic tradition, together with the use of soft chromatic ranges and neutral tones, helps to recreate the visual atmosphere of the 19th century and brings the viewer closer to the historical and human context of the story.

The illustrations were conceived as an essential part of the audiovisual narrative, functioning not only as a visual resource but also as an evocative tool capable of reinforcing the historical and emotional dimension of the documentary.
