IMAGO
IMAGO is an authorial project of research and artistic production dedicated to the compilation, reinterpretation, and visual representation of entities belonging to the Andalusian popular imaginary.
Conceived as a bestiary, the project brings together stories, superstitions, and creatures transmitted orally across generations, exploring the boundary between collective memory, myth, and territory. Through approximately sixty illustrations created using traditional techniques such as graphite, watercolor, and ink, the work seeks to build a visual archive capable of preserving and materializing an essentially oral cultural heritage.
IMAGO proposes an artistic and atmospheric rereading of these figures, understood as symbolic manifestations deeply linked to identity, fear, and popular imagination.
